Involuntary Commitment & Drug Induced Homicide
Mackenzie Darling is a law student working for health policy reform and hopes to pursue a PhD in Bioethics and Feminist Philosophy post-grad. Mackenzie joined the lab in 2020, working on the Carceral Resource Index. Since then, she has conducted legal research regarding the involuntary commitment of people with substance use disorder and drug-induced homicide post-conviction relief. Currently, she is working on amicus briefs for drug-induced homicide criminal cases. Mackenzie is an intersectional feminist and a very vocal reproductive justice advocate.
