John Messinger is a medical student at Harvard Medical School planning on pursuing a career in addiction medicine. His interests lie at the intersection of medicine and law with a focus on how policy impacts the ways we care for people who use drugs. He hopes to address these interests by advocating for a public health and harm reduction approach to drug use while rejecting traditional punitive and restrictive measures.
